Now that I’ve stopped spinning like a top, I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the crucial contribution you made to the Splash of Pink Fashion Show & Couture Tea, hosted by Robin & Dwina Gibb at their home on Saturday.
There is no way that we could have staged this event without you! Your enormous generosity, expertise and personal hard work in overseeing the marquees really ensured that the day was a roaring success. The marquee itself looked stunning and really blew Dwina & Robin away.
The charity is now basking in the plaudits that have been flooding in from all the guests. We are still totting up the final figure but I believe we have raised just over £60,000. This is an amazing figure and one that tops any previous events staged by Against Breast Cancer.
I know that Dwina and Robin were delighted to see everyone there and, despite his recent health problems, Robin’s performance was a real triumph. He had many of the guests up on their feet and was even heard to say that he wouldn’t mind doing it again next year. I suspect we may all need a bit of time to recover before committing to that!
From the moment you came on board with this event, I have been very impressed with the professionalism and commitment demonstrated by you and your team. You have been incredibly generous with your time and expertise and it really would not have been the same event without you.
